About

Our Humble Beginnings

The story of the De La Vega Foundation is deeply personal. Founded by Jonas and Anne, the inspiration for this foundation comes from their own journey as parents of four boys, three of whom are on the autism spectrum. Experiencing the challenges, joys, and triumphs of raising neurodiverse children firsthand, Jonas and Anne understand more than anyone the importance of support, advocacy, and community.

Their family’s journey has shaped the foundation’s deep desire to make a difference in the lives of neurodiverse children and their families. What began as a personal quest to find resources, understanding, and a sense of belonging, has blossomed into a larger mission to foster inclusivity, empowerment, and opportunity for all neurodiverse individuals.

Jonas and Anne’s commitment to creating a more inclusive world is at the heart of everything the De La Vega Foundation stands for. This foundation is not just a cause—it’s a passion rooted in their family’s lived experience. Their desire to help others navigate similar challenges fuels every program and initiative we undertake. At De La Vega, we are more than advocates—we are parents, allies, and champions for change.

Our Mission

At the De La Vega Foundation, we are dedicated to creating a future where neurodiverse individuals and their families have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they deserve. Our mission is to empower, educate, and advocate for neurodiverse children, families, and communities, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to thrive in an inclusive world.

What We Do

The De La Vega Foundation is committed to shaping a future where neurodiversity is celebrated and embraced. Through our innovative services—family and caregiver support, community and school training, policy advocacy, and employment inclusion consulting—we are building a more inclusive society. Our programs are designed to enhance emotional well-being, promote inclusion, and advocate for the rights of neurodiverse individuals in every aspect of life, from education to employment.

Our Vision

We envision a future where neurodiverse children and their families are not only supported but fully integrated into society. We are working toward a world where every individual’s unique qualities are recognized, celebrated, and valued. Through collaboration, advocacy, and innovation, we are leading the way to a society that is inclusive, equitable, and empowering for all.

Our Impact

With a dedicated team of advocates, educators, and partners, we are actively creating transformative change and laying the foundation for sustainable, long-term impact. By forging strong partnerships with schools, businesses, and communities, we are crafting the blueprint for a more inclusive and supportive future for neurodiverse individuals. Our focus is on creating solutions that will make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
